Bollard Sox and Bollard Covers seem at first glance to be very similar products. However, they can be used individually or in combination with each other and each have a function of their own. If you have a permanent or temporary bollard that is unsightly or needs some extra protection, you may be inclined to look at either one of these products as they both seem to serve the same purpose. In this week’s blog, we take a more in-depth look at these two “post protectors” and what makes them both unique.
First, let us start with Bollard Covers. These are polyurethane capped sleeves that come in a variety of lengths and diameters, and are designed to slip over and protect metal, plastic, concrete, or wooden poles or posts from permanent damage. Bollard covers come typically in one color but may also include colored reflective stripes near the top. Foam strips or screws can be used to fasten and secure the covers onto the bollard or post itself.
Bollard Sox, on the other hand, are extremely colorful and festive polyester slips that can be rolled onto any pole or bollard. The seasonal, holiday, school, safety, and directional signage that is featured on these Bollard Sox is sure to bring a cheerful spirit to your parking lot, garage, or storefront. They are even machine washable! Available in two sizes: 4.5’’ diameter or 7’’ diameter with both in a 52” length.
