There are seven different base options for the Gorilla Post.
We have the QR, Quick Release Fixed Base. The FX, Fixed Base. Our standard Gorilla Post magnetic base. Our toolless magnetic base. Our Drivable DR post. Our One Base rubber Quick Release base and our One Base Junior Quick Release base.
There are two versions of our magnetic base.
Both magnetic bases are ADA-compliant when the post is not on the base. The difference between the two is how they are removed.
The Standard Magnetic base is held in place by powerful Neodymium Magnets with a pulling power of 380 psi vertical lift resistance. To remove it, use one of our two removal tool styles. Tilt the post forward and using either removal tool, break the magnetic field and pop the Standard Magnetic off the plate.
The Toolless, as you can guess, doesn’t need a removal tool, but still utilizes those rare-earth magnets. Just walk up to it, firmly push forward, to remove it. This option is best used in supervised situations and require position continuity.
If you have a highway speed application, there are two choices.
There is the Quick Release and the Fixed Base options. From a distance they look very similar. Both can be applied by screws and/or thermal pads.
The Fixed Base option delineators are more difficult to remove for security solutions.
The Quick Release has a spring-loaded pin that makes it easy to take the delineator post off and consistently return it to active duty.
Three of our bases are suitable for deploying on soil.
You have a gravel parking lot or it’s at the edge of a hard surface. It could be a construction zone, a building’s being built. And, for the current time it is just dirt around that building.
These three Drivable Bass, the One Base Quick Release and the One Base Junior. These are also movable. So, if you need to deploy them into an area, maybe move them over a little bit as construction proceeds. Easy to move.
The drivable base, can’t easily be moved. You need to take long square tube. Drive it into the ground. And, deploy it at the edge of your parking lot.
The Quick Release Junior is portable. To carry it to a different location to deploy it, simply remove the spring tube subassembly.
