Traffic Delineators solve challenges across the world. Examples are to delineate bike lanes or pedestrian areas from traffic lanes, help bolster medians or to hold signs. The Magnetic Gorilla Post System was originally created to assist the City of Portland, OR, and other Municipalities with improving on-street parking. The Gorilla Post System has taken off from there to fit dozens of scenarios. Some examples of usages are in School Loading/Unloading Zones, Ski Resort Locations for Tour Bus Lines, Arenas for Off-Street Parking and, more recently, Drive Thru Curbside Pickup lines.
Since its inception, thousands of Gorilla Posts have been sold and are designed to last. They can often be hit multiple times yet return upright because of the durable metal spring. Since 2020, when the COVID pandemic began, many companies were doing their best to pivot towards Drive Thru and Curbside pick up’s which has created a trend to deploy Gorilla Posts in those areas. Businesses have seen success with these posts which have created more sales and other companies have followed suit. Additionally, signs or chain can be added to any Post with sign toppers or loop caps to help direct customers.
The latest usage trend is found on construction sites. Heavy equipment with a swing radius needed a solution to help define and protect the Swing/Crush Hazard Zone so we created a Post called Gorilla Guard to deploy horizontally. It is longer, includes reflective striping and a loop top for chain or caution tape. And the best part is that they move with the equipment because the Magnetic Base attaches directly to the machine!
