Magnetic Gorilla Posts are a great flexible delineator that can be configured in many ways for multiple applications. Gorilla Post Base Plates are just as important to the Gorilla Post Magnetic System as the post itself, so today lets review some of the finer points.
Magnetic Gorilla Posts can be used on both concrete and asphalt. When purchasing Posts, make sure you know what kind of surface you will be installing onto, as this will dictate which version you purchase. For concrete applications, the Concrete Base Plate can be installed with epoxy alone. However, with the Asphalt Base Plate, the included extra hardware must be installed along with epoxy to ensure proper installation and function of the Magnetic Gorilla Post System. The hardware included with each Asphalt Base Plate consists of 3 stainless steel flat-head screws for a flush mount, and 3 lag-shields which are installed directly into the asphalt. Each Base Plate features a beveled edge and are ADA-compliant. The centering hole accommodates the Gorilla Post centering bolt, which together prevent unwanted lateral movement between the plate and post itself. As we approach Spring, some plates may have inadvertently been removed by snowplows or the like, so this is a great time to order replacement plates so you’re ready when the time comes to install them.
