The Tesla Lockout Tool Kit is a unique long reach access tool designed specifically for unlocking Tesla model doors. Tesla vehicles can be difficult to unlock from the outside. Instead of the more common tempered glass used in most vehicles, Tesla uses a special thin Laminated Glass on the front two windows. Inserting the Tesla Lockout Tool between two Wonder Shields prevents the tool from contacting the window glass, avoiding damage.
In case the vehicle is without battery power, the door locks on a Tesla will not operate. Accessing the Manual Door Release Lever, located in front of the window controls on the door can be opened with this long reach access tool. The Tesla release lever can be almost impossible to access with traditional Lockout tools due to the shape of the lever, the direction and angle to release the lever, and the tight, frameless Laminated Glass windows where the tool needs to enter.
